Burwash Manor's Apple Day is 10 October, Halloween is a Saturday, and IWM Duxford holds its first fireworks night on 5 November, from £15. Plus markets.
Halloween is on a Saturday this year and October half term runs from 26 to 30 October, so most of the month in South Cambridgeshire is pumpkins and trails. Before that comes Burwash Manor’s Apple Day on Saturday 10 October. Then bonfire week brings the big news of the autumn: IWM Duxford’s first fireworks night on Thursday 5 November, followed by free displays at Cambourne on the 6th and at Sawston and Over on the 7th.
Updated 5 October: last weekend’s events removed; Granary concerts on 16, 17 and 25 October and 1 November, the Girton market, an 80s night at Teversham, the Histon family ceilidh and the Gransdens farmers market added.
Every listing below comes from the organiser’s own page or from Visit South Cambs, the district council’s own events listing, read on 5 October 2026, and links back to it. There is no town centre here, so the diary moves around the villages; our things to do in South Cambridgeshire page covers the places that are open whatever the month.

Getting there
Most of these venues are in villages with no public car park of their own, and South Cambridgeshire District Council runs none at all; our parking in South Cambs page explains the alternatives. Wandlebury and Wimpole charge non-members for parking. Before a weekend trip, check the roadworks and travel page.
This page is rewritten as organisers confirm new dates. Dates can change, so use the links before you set off. More in our What’s On section.
